Telia Finland Oyj (Telia) is supplying fixed broadband services to apartments. Residents have access to 10 Mbit/s fixed broadband. Internet connection is free of charge for tenants and it is included in the rent. Telia is also responsible for cable television services in all apartments. You can visit the local Telia store in the shopping center Stella. They can help you with internet problem.
NOTE!
- The terminal device (modem) and connection cables required for the Internet connection are purchased by the tenant of Mikalo’s rental house himself.
- In student apartments, the modem is ready, and it must also be left there when moving. Wireless connection/WiFi modem. Password is found on the modem.
How do you activate the Internet connection?
To start using the Telia Internet connection in the apartment, you need contact Telia
To activate your modem in your apartment, please send a call request to Telia through this link so Telia will call you OR contact Telia customer service by phone +358 200 11611 (mcc/lnc) Mon–Fri 9am to 5pm.
During the call with Telia, mention that you are a student living in Mikalo apartment and you want to activate the internet connection by Telia.
Be prepared to also provide:
- your full name
- precise street address, postal code, and city
- your phone number
- your email address
- the 12-character CM-MAC/MAC address located on the bottom of the modem.
If tenants want to use Internet connection wirelessly, tenants need to buy a router or speed up Internet connection at their own cost from the same operator i.e. Telia. For the part of the above mentioned, MOAS refers to the the tenancy agreement between the company and the tenant and the terms of tenancy paragraphs 1, 8 and 9 which the tenant has accepted with his/her signature.
When facing problems with Internet connection or having questions about it, please contact Telia customer service by phone +358 200 11611 (mcc/lnc) Mon–Fri 9am to 5pm and tell that you are a MOAS tenant using Internet connection provided by Telia.
Note:
When movig out of the student apartments, the cable modem and its components (power cable, Ethernet cable, and F-cable) must be left in the apartment/locked room. If the internet connection has been in use, the tenant must close the connection via this link OR by calling Telia at +358 200 11611 (local/mobile network charges apply) on weekdays, Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM.)
