You can apply for an apartment for the summer if, for example, you are doing summer studies or working in Mikkeli. Summer apartments are mainly rooms in shared student apartments, but there are also some other types of housing available. Contracts are made for a minimum of one calendar month.
To apply for an apartment, use the housing application online: hakemus.tampuuri.fi/mikalo/ (change the language on the bottom right corner)
When you are applying for an apartment for the summer job period, select ‘student apartment’ (Opiskelija-asunto) as the application type. And in the application, choose ‘Not a student’ as the educational institution. You can also provide additional information about your housing needs in the “Other reasons” section on the Housing Need tab.
You can apply for an apartment as soon as your summer job or study placement is confirmed.
