Mikalo has more than 700 student apartments around Mikkeli. There are apartments ranging from shared rooms and small studios to larger youth apartments. All students studying in post-comprehensive school institutions have the opportunity to apply for Mikalo student housing.

Not all vacant apartments will be listed in the search, as they will be rented out again on the basis of applications that we have already received. Therefore, it is advisable to fill in the housing application as soon as the study place is confirmed.
Tenant selections are made by the tenant secretary. In the selection of residents, priority is given to all students and young people in the community. The chances of getting an apartment are better the wider the area the applicant is willing to accept the apartment from and the fewer special requests there are. The demand for apartments is at its highest at the start of the semester (August, September and January). At other times, it is easier to get an apartment.
