Do you experience inclusion in your everyday life? Please, answer a short survey

The City of Mikkeli is conducting this survey to explore the current state of inclusion in our city. Inclusion refers to the feeling of belonging, the ability to influence your own life, and receiving support when needed. We want to hear how you feel in your daily life. Do you experience the feeling of belonging?  Do you have an influence over your own life and surroundings? Do you feel like you have meaningful activities in your everyday life? Do you receive support when you need it?

The City of Mikkeli’s Inclusion and Interaction Plan will be published in autumn 2025. The results of this survey will provide valuable insights that help us improve city operations to better meet the needs of our residents. The goal is to promote and strengthen the experience of inclusion among Mikkeli residents, ensuring that everyone feels heard and has the opportunity to act, engage, and influence both in their everyday surroundings and throughout the city.

Answering to the survey only takes a few minutes, but it has great significance. The survey is based on a researched and reliable inclusion indicator developed by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). All responses will be handled confidentially.

Please complete the survey here (click the link). The survey is open from August 11th to September 7th.

Thank you for your time!

Rent collection will be transferred to Intrum starting from September 1, 2025

Mikalo will transfer all rent collection tasks to Intrum from September 1, 2025. From that date on, all overdue rent payments, payment reminders, and payment arrangements will be handled directly by Intrum.

Current payment plans will not be transferred
All payment plans made with Mikalo will end at the end of August. If you have an unfinished payment plan, we recommend that you take care of the payments during August.

What should I do if I receive a reminder letter from Intrum?

If you pay the invoice using Intrum’s payment details by the due date, the matter is resolved.
You can also pay the invoice by logging in to Intrum’s online service, Oma Intrum, which is open 24/7. You will need your online banking credentials and the case number shown in the letter. In Oma Intrum, you can easily pay your debt, change the due date if needed, update your payment plan, or send a message to Intrum’s customer service.

Need help? If you cannot pay the invoice from Intrum by the due date, please contact Intrum without delay. The fastest way is to use the Oma Intrum service, but you can also call Intrum’s customer service at +358 9 229 111 (local/mobile call charge). They will give you further instructions.

More information and support for managing your finances can be found on Intrum’s website: intrum.fi/fi/asiakaspalvelu

If you have any questions before the change takes effect, Mikalo’s Rent Supervisors are happy to help.
